Jeremiah 5:5b & 30-31 “But with one accord they too had broken off the yoke

and torn off the bonds. A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land: the prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?”

Lamentations 2:14 “The visions of your prophets were false and worthless, they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The oracles they gave you were false and misleading.”

Isaiah 29:20-21 “The ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear, and all

who have an eye for evil will be cut down – those who with a word make a man out to be guilty, who ensnare the defender in court and, with false testimony, deprive the innocent of justice.
